Micserah Heritage Collection: A Timeless Tribute to 7 Years of Legacy

As Micserah celebrates its 7th anniversary, we mark this milestone not just with another watch but with a monument to memory, heritage, and craftsmanship.

Introducing the Heritage Collection, a limited-edition creation that tells Nigeria’s story with every tick.

This is more than a celebration of our journey; it’s a tribute to the resilience and richness of our culture, immortalized on your wrist.

The Story on Your Dial: Nigeria in Six Icons

Every Heritage watch features six miniature sculptures, carefully positioned on the dial to follow the chronological flow of Nigerian history. These aren’t just decorative; they’re stories in miniature, drawn from centuries of tradition, brilliance, and pride.

4 o'clock – Nok Terracotta (c. 500 BC)

Nok terracotta refers to the distinctive terracotta sculptures created by the Nok culture in Nigeria, dating from around 900 BCE to 200 CE. These sculptures, often hollow and featuring intricate details, are the earliest known examples of sculptural art in West Africa. The Nok people are also recognized for their ironworking skills

6 o'clock – Ivory Mask of Benin (16th century)

The Benin ivory mask is a miniature sculptural portrait in ivory of Idia, the first Iyoba (Queen Mother) of the 16th-century Benin Empire, taking the form of a traditional African mask. Worn by Oba Esigie as a tribute to Queen Idia’s brilliance and early global trade.

The British looted the masks from the palace of the Oba of Benin in the Benin Expedition of 1897.

9 o'clock – Ooni Luwoo’s Crown (10th century)

Ooni Lúwo Gbàgìdá (sometimes spelled as Luwo) was the 21st Ooni of Ife, a paramount traditional ruler of Ile Ife, the ancestral home of the Yorubas in the 10th century.

She was the first and the only female paramount ruler of Ile-Ife, known to be the origin of the Yoruba ethnic group in southwestern Nigeria, succeeding Ooni Giesi and succeeded by Ooni Lumobi. Ooni Luwoo's reign remains the only one by a female in Ife to date. Her son, Adekola Telu, was the founder of the Iwo Kingdom.

7 o'clock – Ikenga (Timeless)

Ikenga (Igbo literal meaning "strength of majesty") is a horned god found among the Igbo people in southeastern Nigeria. It is one of the most powerful symbols of the Igbo people and one of the most common cultural artifacts. Ikenga is mostly maintained, kept, or owned by men and occasionally by women of high reputation and integrity in the society.

10 o'clock – Gidan Sarki (18th century)

The Gidan Rumfa, sometimes called the Gidan Sarki ("Emir's house"), is the palace of the Emir of Kano. Located in the city of Kano, Kano State, Nigeria, it was originally constructed in the late 15th century, with later transformations and additions made up to the 20th century.

2 o'clock – Durban Festival (19th century)

The Durbar festival is an annual cultural, religious, and equestrian festival, celebrated as a core part of Hausa culture in Arewa (Northern Nigeria). Durbar has existed for centuries in the Hausa Kingdoms, and is a paramount part of Hausa cultural rites, tradition, and history.

Durbar is performed in several northern cities of Nigeria, which include the original ancient Hausa Emirates are such as Kano, Katsina, Lafia, Gombe, Akko Emirate, Sokoto, Zazzau, Bauchi, Bida, and Ilorin. The festival is usually celebrated by these Emirates cities following the end of Ramadan and also coincides with the Muslim festivities of Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr.

The Heritage Timepiece isn’t just historically significant; it’s also high-performance with;
